Welcome to my blog

I thought it sensible that my first blog entry should be all about introducing you to me and my blog.

So a little about me, for those of you who aren't familiar. I have just turned 26 years old and I am a fiancée, mother, expectant mother, pet owner and homeowner (I like to make myself sound important). My fiancé Dave and I have been together for eight years now. We moved into our home four years ago and it has been a project ever since. With only a few rooms left to go and a garden to finish, naturally I'd like to move house once it is complete! A short while after moving in together we welcomed an adorable little black Labrador puppy into our home. We named her Grace and with each day that went by she became a little less adorable and a little more crazy, but I doubt we'd change her for the world. During all of this I decided I'd like to study and become an accountant. After a few years of studying and very much not enjoying life as a trainee accountant I decided that if I didn't stop and get out of it now, I probably never would. So I pulled the plug on my 'career' and decided what better time to start a family? And so, in December 2013 when I was 24, my little man Oliver was born. Since that day late in December, very shortly after Christmas, life has just been about surviving each day as it comes, whatever is thrown at me, just survive ... or try. A little under a year into 'surviving' motherhood I realised that actually, I was doing alright and its actually pretty fun sometimes. So what harm could it do to expand our family by one more member? Well, Oliver's little brother or sister is due in August so I guess I'll find out pretty soon.

I've started this blog as a way of documenting day to day life, offering tips and reviews and hopefully creating a new hobby for myself. I've been wanting to start a blog for a while now but putting it off for no other reason than I didn't know where to begin. Well now I have begun and although the blog is very basic I will be able to write about whatever takes my fancy! It is a work in progress and will be 'under construction', so to speak, over the coming weeks. I can only ask that you stick with it and watch this space :)

Thanks for stopping by friends :)
